About Us
At MacIsaac Family Medicine, we believe that quality healthcare begins with a strong relationship.

Dr. David B. MacIsaac, DO
David MacIsaac, DO is committed to each and every one of his members. Dr. David MacIsaac was born and raised in Erie, PA. He attended John Carroll University in Cleveland, OH, where he majored in Pre-Med/Biology and received his Bachelor of Science in 1995. He completed his research year at Cleveland Clinic prior to enrolling in medical school at LECOM. He graduated with his doctorate in May of 2000, then performed his internship and residency at the Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh. Following completion of his residency, Dr. MacIsaac practiced briefly in the area before opening his own practice.
Dr. MacIsaac currently lives in the North Hills. He is fully licensed and Board Certified in Family Medicine and is an active member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Allegheny Medical Society. He enjoys all aspects of medicine, but has particular interest in preventative health issues, adolescent & teen medicine, gynecology and dermatology.
Jessica Bergstrom, PA-C
Jessica Bergstrom, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She received her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences and Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Duquesne University. She has over 10 years of clinical experience in primary care. Outside of caring for her patients, she enjoys cooking and spending time with her family.

SERVICES OFFERED
At MacIsaac Family Medicine, we provide a wide range of services, including:

Comprehensive Preventative Health Visits: This includes Physicals and Well Child Checks.

Annual Well Woman Check-Ups: These consist of gynecological examinations, pap tests, STD screenings, contraceptive management, and ordering related imaging studies (such as mammograms, ultrasounds, and Dexa bone density scans—imaging is not conducted on-site). Notably, most UPMC, Highmark, and BC/BS plans permit the completion of both your Annual Physical and Annual Gynecological exam in a single visit.

Skin Cancer Screenings

General Dermatology Services: Treatment for conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, and atopic dermatitis.

EKG Services: We offer 12-lead electrocardiograms.

Therapeutic Injections: For example, Vitamin B12 injections.

Vaccination Administration: Including flu, tetanus and whooping cough, meningitis, and Gardasil (HPV) vaccines.

PPD Testing: Placement and interpretation of TB tests.

Allergy & Asthma Management: We conduct on-site pulmonary function testing (spirometry), prescribe inhalers, EpiPens, and allergy medications, as well as order allergy blood panels.

Urine Collection and Urinalysis

Rapid Strep Testing and Throat Cultures

Cosmetic Botox Injections

Medicare Annual Wellness Visits

Urgent Care Services: For issues like sinus infections, ear infections, strep throat, upper respiratory infections, poison ivy reactions, and asthma flare-ups. We prioritize these appointments to help our patients avoid long wait times at Urgent Care Clinics and emergency rooms.
